Washington D.C. Postcards

Hello Postcard Friends –

Marine Corps Memorial 75th Anniversary PostcardThis year marks the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. Strangely, the USPS does not plan to release any commemorative postage stamps remembering this historic anniversary.

This US Marine Corps War Memorial postcard is our first postcard to remember the ending of the war. The memorial was inspired by the iconic 1945 photograph of six Marines raising a U.S. flag atop Mt. Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima (February 19 – March 26, 1945) taken by the Associated Press photographer Joe Rosenthal.

As part of this historic year of remembrance, we are releasing our newest set featuring 14 new postcards of Washington D.C. – which includes the World War II and other war memorials.

Washington D.C. Postcards | Set of 14While there are many landmarks that did not make it into the set, we tried to hit the majors.

We trust you will enjoy this new set as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Enjoy!
