Chicago River Sailboat Migration Postcard

Each year, in the spring and fall, a total of 27 historical bridges along the Main and South Branches of the Chicago River are raised sequentially on a twice weekly schedule to allow for recreational boat traffic to make the annual trip from inland boat storage yards out to the waters of Lake Michigan.
