Chicago Flag Postcard

The stripes in the City of Chicago flag represent geographical features of the city, the stars symbolize historical events, and the points of the stars represent important virtues or concepts. Commissioned in 1917, it is ranked second best American city flag behind the flag of Washington, D.C.
